Our Mission

At SAVE MOTHER EARTH NOW and FOREVER ( SMENAF), our mission is to reforest the deforested lands of the Indigenous People (IP) in the Caraga Region, Philippines. We work in collaboration with government bodies like the DENR (Department of Environment and Natural Resources), the DA (Department of Agriculture), the PENRO
(Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office), the CENRO (Community Environment and Natural Resources Office), and the PAMB (Protected
Area Management Board). and we are accredited by the local governments. Our inclusive approach fosters equitable governance and enhances the
capacities of our diverse team, including women and indigenous people.
Our core project, the Giant Bamboo Reforestation Project is a nature-based solution to the global warming crisis, an Ecosystem-based
Adaptation approach to address the environmental and societal challenges of climate change aligned with the aims of the IUCN (International Union for
Conservation of Nature). It is our response to the urgent need to reduce the present dangerous level of global temperature that seriously threatens to end life on earth as
we know it. The global atmospheric temperature at 1.5 degrees centigrade needs to be reduced now. Our community education campaigns empower Indigenous People to participate in climate change solutions by rejuvenating their deforested ancestral lands through bamboo reforestation. Together, we are committed to the restoration and preservation of the natural environment, sustainable livelihoods, and the collective effort to save Mother Earth now for the present and future generations.

Goal One

Reforestation and Restoration: Our primary goal is to restore deforested lands in the Caraga Region of Northern Mindanao, Philippines, particularly those belonging to indigenous communities, we aim to revitalize these lands and contribute to combating global warming.

Goal Two

Through our reforestation project our aim is to empower the local indigenous communities with regenerative farming practices to provide both viable commercial bamboo products as well as securing food resources via establishing seedbanks and ensuring stability for generations to come.

Goal Three

Eventually this model will expand across all of the Philippines to ensure the longevity and self-reliance of our people. Serving as an example for combating climate change with renewable resources.
